On June 12th 2017 the European Commission approved the combination of Intrum Justitia and Lindorff. The approval is conditional upon the divestment of Lindorff’s operations in Denmark, Estonia, Finland and Sweden as well as Intrum Justitia’s operations in Norway. This means that Lindorff and Intrum Justitia will remain competitors in those five markets.

Intrum has entered into a definitive agreement with Lowell, a European credit receivables management company, to divest Lindorff’s businesses in Denmark, Estonia, Finland and Sweden as well as Intrum Justitia’s business in Norway.
